Its sugarBEAT product is a non-invasive, needle-free glucose monitoring system for both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The second-generation sugarBEAT consists of a disposable patch containing a sensor and a small reusable electronic transmitter, and works by extracting glucose from the skin into the patch. At the time of the report sugarBEAT had received CE approval in Europe, clinical studies were under way to support launches in the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, and the Company planned to begin U.S. clinical trials. In August 2017 it completed a medical-grade software app prepared in compliance with ISO 13485 quality standards.
