NuLoch Resources Inc., founded in 2005 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, is an oil and gas company engaged in petroleum and natural gas exploration, development and production in Canada and the United States. In mid-November 2010 it was producing approximately 1,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day, up from an average of 570 in the third quarter of 2009.
The company is focused on its properties in North Dakota and Saskatchewan containing the Bakken Shale and Three Forks Sanish formations of the Williston Basin. The report notes that the Bakken is the largest continuous oil formation ever assessed by the U.S. Geological Survey, estimated to hold up to 4.3 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil. After a series of acquisitions, NuLoch held over 66,000 producing and undeveloped net acres at Tableland in southeast Saskatchewan and in Burke and Divide Counties in North Dakota, with further oil and gas properties in Alberta. Its shares traded on the TSX Venture Exchange and, from May 2010, on the OTCQX.
